Somaliland Condemns Erdoğan’s remarks as “unacceptable interference”

The Somaliland government has issued a strong condemnation of remarks made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, labeling them as unacceptable interference in the region’s affairs.
In an official statement, Somaliland authorities asserted that foreign policy decisions regarding the Horn of Africa should be made solely by the regional governments and their people. They urged that external rivalries must not be allowed to compromise regional stability.
Furthermore, the statement called on Turkey to avoid actions that could exacerbate tensions, reaffirming Somaliland’s commitment to peaceful diplomatic relations and its pursuit of international recognition, which is firmly based in the democratic aspirations of its citizens.
