In a critical call to action, Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) has urged the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and their allied armed groups to immediately allow safe evacuations for civilians in Al Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.
The organization has raised alarms over the deteriorating humanitarian situation and increasing violence against local residents.

Michel Olivier Lacharite, MSF’s Head of Emergencies, emphasized the urgent need for protective measures in an official statement released on X.
“We call on the RSF and allied armed groups to ensure the protection of civilians and allow their safe passage out of Al Fasher,” he stated.
Lacharite also appealed to the Quad nations—the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt—to leverage their diplomatic influence in order to halt the escalating violence and prevent further loss of life in the region.
As the humanitarian crisis deepens, MSF has been closely monitoring the situation, warning that the international community must not remain passive.
The organization underlined that immediate action is essential to safeguard civilian lives in Al Fasher, where the threat to safety continues to rise
