RSADO Celebrates Graduation of New Fighter Cohort, Reinforcing Commitment to Red Sea Afar People’s Rights

The Red Sea Afar Democratic Organization (RSADO) announces the graduation of a new cohort of fighters following over three months of intensive military training.
This comprehensive program encompassed direct and indirect combat, offensive and defensive operations, marksmanship, physical fitness, guerrilla warfare tactics, and strategies for navigating operations in urban environments.
During the graduation ceremony, Comrade Ibrahim Haroun, head of the Organization and supreme commander of its forces, commended the fighters for their discipline and determination.
He emphasized that this achievement underscores RSADO’s commitment to cultivating a disciplined military capable of confronting the oppressive Eritrean regime.
Haroun reaffirmed the Organization’s dedication to defending the rights of the Red Sea Afar people and to achieving full self-determination, including the right to secede if necessary, while protecting the community from forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.
“The sectarian Afwerki regime knows only the language of arms. Armed resistance is the only way to uproot it and to build an Eritrea that respects the rights of all its components, where every individual and every group finds its place and prospers.” He said.
Mr. Haroun also highlighted the necessity of enhancing the Organization’s naval capabilities, confirming that leadership is actively working to establish a trained and equipped naval force aligned with current political and military demands.
He warned that the continued rule of Isaias Afwerki and his regime presents a threat not only to the Eritrean people but also to neighboring states and significant international interests in the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa, jeopardizing regional stability and peace. He urged neighboring countries and the international community to recognize this threat and support Eritrean forces resisting this tyrannical regime.
The Organization reiterates its call for all Eritrean opposition factions to unite under the umbrella of Eritrean political forces, which include influential organizations and parties, to form a cohesive front capable of confronting repression and tyranny in Eritrea.
In closing, RSADO extends its heartfelt gratitude to the leadership and people of the Afar Region in Ethiopia for their unwavering support of the Organization’s cause. This support is deemed essential for strengthening RSADO’s capabilities and ensuring its continued defense of the Red Sea Afar people’s legitimate rights in Eritrea.
