An attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Mustariha, North Darfur State, resulted in the deaths of 28 civilians and injuries to 39 others, including 10 women.
The assault, involving rocket shelling, also destroyed the area’s only health center and led to the assault of medical staff, with one worker reported missing.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemned the RSF’s actions, highlighting the creation of terror among residents and the targeting of healthcare facilities.
This assault has triggered significant displacement to surrounding villages amidst worsening humanitarian conditions.
The network called for urgent international action to protect displaced civilians, ensure humanitarian aid delivery, and hold RSF leaders accountable for these violations of humanitarian and international law.
