Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, reported that civilians displaced from El Fasher, Bara, and Al-Nahud are avoiding refuge in Nyala, Al-Foula, or any RSF-controlled areas in Darfur and West Kordofan. Instead, they have relocated to areas under state and Army control, where security, shelter, food, and healthcare are available.
Al-Burhan highlighted this movement as a clear rejection of the RSF threat and emphasized the severe hardships faced by affected populations. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to civilian protection and urged the international community to support efforts to ensure stability in Darfur and surrounding regions.
