Sudan’s Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism Bans “Sky News Arabia” from Operating

Sudan’s Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism has officially banned “Sky News Arabia” from conducting media activities in the country, citing that the channel lacks the necessary permits and accreditation.
The ministry stated that the channel’s team entered Sudan and engaged in media activities without the required official authorization, violating Sudan’s Press and Media Law as well as licensing regulations.
The ministry affirmed that it will take all necessary legal actions to protect national media sovereignty and ensure compliance from foreign media outlets. This decision reflects broader efforts to uphold professional and legal standards for media operations in Sudan.
