The Democratic Bloc, which is part of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC), has launched preparatory political consultations aimed at shaping a unified vision for the Sudanese-Sudanese negotiations.
Today, the workshop’s first session took place in Port Sudan in cooperation with Promodation Organization, and was attended by member organizations’ leaders under the bloc.
Deputy head Nazir Mohamed El-Amin Tirk emphasized the bloc’s commitment to ongoing workshops designed to foster national consensus and establish a foundation for stability.
He denounced foreign interference that he believes dismantles the chance at agreement, urging international mediators to respect more in a bid to make peace achieveable.
Darfur Governor Minni Arko Minawi, political committee chairman of the bloc, on his part emphasized the importance of urgent joint action by both civilian and military forces to establish a stable Sudan.
He praised Promodation for efforts in instilling political stability and supported any endeavor that promotes peace and cooperation.
The workshop’s agenda, as outlined by spokesperson Dr. Mohamed Zakaria, will unfold over two days, focusing on crucial topics such as dialogue methods, participating parties, funding, and mediation roles. The Democratic Bloc’s overarching goal is to create a secure and stable Sudan, free from conflict and tension, and they pledge to continue their efforts towards this aim.
